This is your opportunity to speak your mind on anything regarding Hip Hop culture and view previous video of Q& A’s that have taken place recently around this issue. The purpose of this component is to give a voice to those who need platform to sound the alarm. As we all know, Hip Hop is not the cause of all issues that have infiltrated urban communities around the country. However Hip Hop is dear to many of us and we would like to keep it that way for this is a major part of our history that should be past down from generation to generation.

In order for this to be accomplished it is imperative that we collectively be keepers of the culture. Therefore we must utilize this component as a way to create strategic solutions that are implemented for the betterment of all who care about the preservation of this creative history and its maturity in to areas that hold no limits.

Hip Hop culture is now a 450 billion dollar industry. Why is it that no one seems to want to talk about how this cultural phenomenon has injected a great deal of finances into the American and World economy.

It appears that we only can bring the culture to the conversation when some Rapper/Non MC decides he wants to bring harm to another. I think it is a sad state of affairs when we simply can not acknowledge both sides of the coin.

Does Hip Hop need to be decriminalized? Absolutely. However, we must all realized it begins with all of us who love the culture. We have to first teach our teenagers the music history that we all experienced as young people growing up. The same history many of our parents shared with us in some form or another. We must then monitor what young people are listening to. Whether it is your child or a child from the community, guess what? It is still your child. Beyond this we have freedom of choice, That pertains to channel listening and viewing but extends itself to what you purchase.

THIS IS ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG. WE CAN DECRIMINALIZE THE CULTURE, IT STARTS WITH US.
